Jacob Rhinesmith
Hitting & Fielding Instructor

Jacob brings six seasons of professional baseball experience to his new role as the HoJo 13U Assistant Coach and Showtime Sports Hitting & Fielding Instructor. Drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 18th round of the 2018 MLB Draft, Jacob’s career spans multiple levels of competition. In 2024, he played for the Navegantes del Magallanes in Venezuela and the York Revolution of the Atlantic League, where he earned Player of the Year honors and was named MVP of the Atlantic League Championship Series. His professional resume includes time with the Winnipeg Goldeyes, Harrisburg Senators (Double-A), Wilmington Blue Rocks (High-A), Hagerstown Suns (Low-A), and Auburn Doubledays (Short Season Single-A). Along the way, he was twice selected as an All-Star in the Nationals organization.
A standout collegiate athlete, Jacob began his college career at Indian Hills Community College, where he earned NJCAA All-American honors and a place on the North All-District team in 2017. He then transferred to Western Kentucky University for the 2018 season, receiving All-Conference USA First Team and National Baseball Coaches Association All-Region Second Team honors. He also competed in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League with the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks and the Valley League with the New Market Rebels during summer seasons.
Hailing from Shakopee, Minnesota, Jacob starred at Shakopee High School and with the Blizzard Elite Baseball Club, earning All-Conference honors twice during his high school career. With his extensive playing and coaching experience, Jacob is excited to bring his knowledge and passion for the game to the HoJo Baseball program and Showtime Sports Academy.
