About

Showtime Pilates

Showtime Pilates was formed from a dream of combining a love for pilates, sports, and family. Stephanie Johnson, wife of Showtime Sports Academy owner, Glen Johnson, wanted to bring her expertise and passion for the human body to her husband’s sports facility.

As a family business, they aspire to create a fun, family friendly atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and can be involved. Pilates brings an opportunity to Showtime for anyone to move their body.

Pilates is a form of exercise and physical movement that creates balance throughout the body to allow it to function correctly. It utilizes machines with different spring loads and mats to perform the exercise, while focusing on breathing and centering the body.

Pilates gears towards the strengthening, lengthening, stabilizing, and toning of muscles. No matter your fitness level or goals, you can benefit from this workout. Sign up for a one on one private session today to discover what Pilates can do for you!

Owner/instructor

Stephanie Johnson

Stephanie moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University, where she minored in Dance while pursuing her Exercise Science degree. Being a dancer since age five, her love for the body and health brought out a desire to help others continue to move and take care of theirs. It wasn’t until she started working at P3, Precision Physical Therapy & Pilates, in Nashville, TN, that she fell in love with Pilates.

Lower back pain runs in her family and after many years of dance she began to have back pain that she assumed she’d have the rest of her life. However, after only a few Pilates privates she became more aware of certain muscle imbalances and the importance of working in neutral to alleviate injuries. That eye opening experience led her to become certified in Balanced Body and had the opportunity to test out with Erin Myers.

Opening her own pilates studio and working along side her husband have both been a dream for a while.  She is excited to blend her love for pilates with her husband’s business and make a positive impact on every body that she has the opportunity to work with through Showtime Pilates.

While not teaching Pilates, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their three children (Maylee, Tanner, and Ryder), and their golden retrievers, Pilot and Sienna.  While she doesn’t have much free time these days being a full-time mom, she still tries to find time for her love of photography & dance.
